Manolito y su Trabuco
After 6 years as musical director of the legendary timba band 'Maravilla de Florida', Manolito Simonet started his own band Trabuco in 1993. Timba is a more explosive variant of cuban salsa, proudly proven by Manolito and his band, although they are not shy in bringing some romance in their songs. Manolito is known as a precise and productive composer. Live they keep interesting you with their enthusiasm. Manolito will be bringing his 15-man band with not only piano, percussion and copper, but also synthesizer, violin and flute.
Contrabando
Contrabando staat onder leiding van Andrés Fernández Ordoñez (gewezen trombonist van de Cubaanse band Pupy y Los Que Son Son) en bestaat uit jonge talentvolle Cubaanse musici. De eigen composities zijn een succesvolle mix van muzikale stromingen zoals Songo, Timba, Jazz, Rap en Afro-Cubaanse ritmes, met respect voor de originele Cubaanse karakteristieken. Hun eigen composities zijn sociaal inhoudelijk en belichten het leven en de liefde.
