The population of the poor Colombian Chocó region is mainly of African origin and thus their music too. In the capital of Chocó, Quibdó - Choc Quib Town - was founded in 2000. They blend traditional Afro-Colombian music with contemporary hip hop and in a few years time they developed a unique urban style.

Bomba Estéreo means a "Stereo Bomb" and that's what is all about.  This gang of 4 directly out of Bogotá, Colombia mixes electro with rocking cumbia, champeta, dub and hiphop.
