Deze temperamentvolle alternativo cumbiarockers komen uit Monterrey in Mexico, ook wel het Seattle van Latijns-Amerika genoemd.  De band rond de broers Hernandez verhit elk publiek met hun opzwepende combinatie van cumbia, rock, polka en ska.

Lura

Lura, één van de muzikale dochters van Cesaria Evora werd geboren in Lissabon en is één van de nakomelingen van de Kaapverdische migratie die meteen plaatsvindt na de Portugese revolutie... Haar zangcarrière begon ze als achtergrondzangeres bij ondermeer Cesaria Evora, Bonga en Tito Paris. In 1996 startte haar solocarrière met het album "Nha Vida".

The voice and the face of UB40, Mr. Ali Campbell and keyboardplayer Mickey Virtue quited UB40 early 2008. Both men gathered some young and talented musicians around them and started the band Ali Campbell & the Dep Band.

Chilean Quique Neira is a roots reggae icon in Latin America, first as singer and frontman of the legendary reggae band Gondwana and since 2002 as a solo artist. Quique Neira writes his own songs, he has a unique voice and is a great live musician, composer and producer. He is considered one of the most famous and talented musicians from Latin America.

Ojos de Brujo

The Barcelona's hip hop flamenkillo collective play their only show in Belgium this summer at the Afro-Latino Festival and give the live premiere to tracks from their new album Aocaná. "Driven relentlessly by frenetic percussion this is music that can't fail to move you; live, the impressive presence of the dramatically coiffed Marina and her large band of musicians, video projections, a whirling light show and a beatboxer/flamenco dancer face-off make for an evening of passion and spectacle."

After being at the Afro-Latino Festival in 2006, we could not end our sunday evening without this fantastic band, so we invited them again!
