Freshlyground

Freshlyground is the MOST successful band at the moment... freshly groundFounded in 2002 by singer Zolani Mahola, they bring Afro-Fusion, a mix of traditional South African Kwela with folk, jazz and indie rock. The unique character is the combination of the fantastic voice of Zolani with violin and flute. Their CD "Nomvula" got 6 times Platinum in South Africa and the forecasts for their newest "Ma Cherie" are looking even better. In 2006, they were awarded with the "Best African Act"-award at the MTV Europe Music Awards. Freshlyground is also the OFFICIAL Ambassador of the 2010 World Championship Football in South-Africa.
