Calima

This combination of flamenco, rumba and hiphop is known from Ojos de Brujo... Juan "Juanlu" Luis Leprevost, the former base player of Ojos de Brujo, founded Calima in 2004 in Barcelona. The fantastic combination of flamenco, rumba and hiphop is the central theme, but Calima brings it in a more natural way by using less electronics. The passion, the fire and the rythm from the first till the last note, make sure you will be swept off your feet when you hear them ! Their first album Azul was nominated in 2007 for the Latin Grammy Award and scored them a record contract at EMI. Did we discover an incredibly fantastic band...We do think so...
