Although Fatoumata was born in Ivory Coast but her musical roots lie in the Wassoulou area in Mali. She blends with lots of natural charisma and traditional bluesy Wassoulou folk with jazz and pop. Besides beeing a good singer and performer she is as well an actress in the movie / musical "Kirikou & Karaba" and excellent dancer.
