Choc Quib Town

The population of the poor Colombian Chocó region is mainly of African origin and thus their music too. In the capital of Chocó, Quibdó - Choc Quib Town - was founded in 2000. They blend traditional Afro-Colombian music with contemporary hip hop and in a few years time they developed a unique urban style. In Colombia, they have a star status and the rest of the world will rapidly recognize this revelation. Between gigs at Glastonbury and Roskilde they do a stop in Bree on Saturday, June 26.
